"Buran"on its transporter Antonov-225 "Mriya"
.Video document of the spaceship
.
This spaceship orbiter and its transporter were built within
the Russian space-program in the late 80's.
The first flight of the Antonov-225 was in 1988. The 225
had flown till 1994 and had been re-activated in 2001.
Today still it's the largest cargo transporter in the world!
The An-225 is larger, than the Airbus-380 and this
transporter is able to get up 200-250 tons of fright into the
air!
The fuel of this airplane can have a weight of 300 tons -
much more than the complete takeoff weight of the most
other large airplanes in the world!
You'll find a lot of interesting information about the 225 and
Buran in the web and also a lot of photos, but film
documentes are a little bit rare! Here you will find a little
collection. First my films and under them some youtubes.
